(Kinda finished) build for Video Editing and some Blender. Any tips on Motherboard and GPU?

Introduction
  • My old tower is from the penultimate decade, and my laptop is from 2014.
  • I finally wanted to get myself a solid workstation PC.
  • I've built a simple office PC before.
    • I have some basic knowledge about each part.
    • I've lurked this sub the past weeks, watched a couple of build guides, and read some reviews that compaired certain hardware specs.
  • I kept getting more insecure as I keep reading more reviews and opinions.
    • I'll very much appreciate any feedback on the current setup, and possible alternatives.

What will you be doing with this PC?
  • Video Editing (smooth for Full HD, but not necessarily 4K)
  • Graphics Editing (predominantly Illustrator, some Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Blender (entry level usage - but I've heard it's power hungry either way.)
  • Triple Monitor Setup
    • I'd like to use one Ultrawide monitor that supports PBP for the first and second screen, and another monitor for the third screen.
    • This is probably trivial for any moderately priced graphics card, though the total HDMI ports might also be relevant for the choice of motherboard.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
  • 1200 €
  • (Though I like to buy used parts as well, which can leave more wiggle room.)

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
  • 1-2 Weeks from now.

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget?
  • Motherboard (€80-€200)
    • for best performance, fitting AMD Ryzen 2700X
    • ideally includes WIFI, Bluetooth, 4 RAM slots
  • Monitor: 34" Curved (€350-€400, e.g. LG-34GL750-B)
    • QHD instead of a dual monitor setup.
    • 2560x1080 (Don't need 3440x1440. CMIIAW: Less pixels means less energy needed (assuming the same energy efficiency class).
    • For split screen options, Motherboards and GPUs need to be considered, right?
  • 500GB SSD: Samsung 970 EVO or 970 EVO Plus.
    • Apparently the EVO Plus is mostly better in writing speed - which isn't too important when using it as primary drive for the OS and Software, correct?
  • 16GB RAM Kit:
    • 2x8GB DDR4-3200 Kit, like G.Skill Ripjaws.
    • There does not appear to be much of a noticable difference beyond 2666MHz, especially when not used for gaming.)
  • GPU (€100-€300)
    • Apparently Blender is the one pushing the requirements here.

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in?
  • Germany

What parts will you be reusing?
  • Case: From my old Tower Acer Aspire M3910.
    • The dimensions are 18 x 40.2 x 37.9 cm. But only if it is advisable - see Case Preferences below)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
    • Bought this one recently including the cooler). 8 Cores should be useful for both video editing and Blender; and this appeared to have among the biggest bang for the buck.)
Will you be overclocking?
  • Currently not interested.
    • But if it's not too pricey, I'd like to keep some options open.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build?
  • No.

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
  • Utility over aesthetics. Nothing fancy, no LED bling.
  • My old case appears to be a Mid Tower.
    • But if you recommend another case for the hardware I've chosen (due to form factor or better ventilation), that's fine too.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
  • No.
    • I planned to use the Win10 licence of my old tower, yet transfer all the old data to an external drive.

TL;DR
  • I feel confident in my choice of CPU, RAM, SSD and HDD, and Monitor.
    • However, any feedback is appreciated!
  • I'm uncertain about the Motherboard and CPU for my needs
  1. for the triple monitor setup
  2. to make my programs run smoothly
  3. whether I should get a new case, or use my old one.

If you've made it to the bottom of this post, thanks for reading! Or at least scrolling.

Hibernate X1 Carbon Gen 6?

hi,

I installed the 19th April 2019 -current snapshot on a 6G X1 and I am trying to get the system to Hibernate (ZZZ).
Suspend/deep sleep (zzz) works fine so far.

According to this https://jcs.org/2017/09/01/thinkpad_x1c, hibernate works fine on a 5G.
According to this archived thread https://www.reddit.com/openbsd/comments/9l5qnk/buying_x1_carbon_gen_6_for_openbsd/, @jcs mentions the 6G X1 should be able to hibernate.

I do not have a dedicated swap partition on the disk, just a /swap0 file of 17GB (machine has 16GB RAM). (see below for dmesg etc.)
After hitting ZZZ, screen switches off, the power LED flashes a while and then they both come back on.
The console output gives a "acpi0: hibernate_suspend failed" (see below dmesg)

Looking at this old http://openbsd-archive.7691.n7.nabble.com/Failed-to-hibernate-in-5-4-current-i386-td237323.html, hibernate writes to the default (sd0b) swap device.
I've checked the manpages but didn't see any reference to that swap device used by ZZZ.

any pointers?

Cheers
